Proposal Title: Immersive Training for Sustainable Electric Vehicle Manufacturing

Proposal Summary:

EcoDrive XR is an innovative XR-based training project led by MATSUKO in partnership with the Secondary Vocational School of Industrial Technologies in Kosice-Saca, aimed at revolutionizing education in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. The project integrates advanced holographic technology and interactive 3D models to provide immersive virtual learning experiences focused on sustainable automotive manufacturing.

Key Objectives:

  • Prepare Skilled Labor for the EV Industry: Equip students with practical skills and knowledge for green automotive careers, particularly supporting Volvo’s upcoming EV factory in Slovakia.
  • Promote Sustainability & Circular Economy: Teach sustainable production techniques and circular economy principles to reduce environmental impact and advance carbon neutrality goals.
  • Enhance Educational Methods: Modernize local vocational curricula by combining traditional education with cutting-edge XR technology.
  • Advance Gender Equality: Encourage gender diversity in the automotive and engineering sectors.
  • Support EU Green Deal Goals: Align with European and global climate initiatives by fostering a carbon-neutral workforce.

  • Holographic Teachers: Leverages MATSUKO’s patented holographic technology to create lifelike 3D holograms of instructors, capturing over 80% of nonverbal communication for a realistic and engaging training experience.
  • Immersive Learning Environment: Provides interactive 3D models of EV components to simulate real-world production processes in a virtual classroom.
  • Personalized Learning Tools: Uses XR2LEARN’s emotion detection and adaptive learning systems to monitor student engagement and improve learning outcomes.
  • Modular Training Programs: Covers key stages of EV manufacturing, including battery chemistry, vehicle assembly, and sustainable practices, making the content scalable for global replication.
  • Industry Collaboration: Works closely with Volvo Cars and InoBat, ensuring training solutions meet real-world industry needs.
