I never imagined I’d be able to safely train on an overhead crane—until I experienced it firsthand at SPS Parma through XR technology. It was a powerful moment that really opened my eyes to the potential of Extended Reality in industrial training environments.
That said, from a developer’s perspective, one key question comes to mind:
What are some of the most difficult mistakes to avoid when developing XR applications, especially for critical training and industrial use cases?
A few challenges that I think are worth highlighting:
Cognitive overload due to poor information layering? Inaccurate tracking or poor synchronization between the virtual and physical worlds?
Have you faced similar issues in your XR projects? How did you solve them?
Any best practices, common traps to watch for, or must-have tools during development?
