Proposal Acronym: RTXRoom
Proposal Title: Remote Training XR Room
Proposal Summary:
D-cube’s RTXRoom is an Extended Reality (XR) application designed to revolutionize industrial training in the manufacturing sector, particularly in aluminum assembly. It enhances training efficiency, reduces costs, and supports remote assistance through immersive, collaborative, and adaptive learning experiences.
Key Objectives:
- Advanced XR Training: Deliver interactive, step-by-step 3D assembly instructions using HoloLens devices.
- Remote Assistance: Enable experts to monitor sessions via live streaming, provide real-time guidance, and annotate in the virtual space.
- Adaptive Learning: Personalize training by adjusting to the user’s cognitive and emotional states, enhancing engagement and learning outcomes.
- Cost Reduction: Minimize expenses related to travel, personnel, and physical resources by offering remote supervision.
Technical Innovations & Features:
- Multi-User Collaboration: Supports real-time group training, replicating a classroom environment to foster teamwork and shared problem-solving.
- Streaming Editor: Remote experts can provide live feedback, ensuring continuous support and oversight during training sessions.
- Narrative Editor Integration: Experts upload 3D models to create dynamic assembly instructions, allowing users to manipulate virtual objects via intuitive gestures (rotate, zoom, move).
- XR2Learn Integration: Utilizes personalization enablers to dynamically adapt training based on the user’s progress and emotional state.
Impact & Benefits:
- Enhanced Training Efficiency: Accelerates worker upskilling and provides on-demand access to complex assembly procedures.
- Cost-Effective Solutions: Reduces the need for international expert travel, saving time and resources for global construction projects.
- Improved Worker Engagement: Personalized and interactive learning increases knowledge retention and employee satisfaction.
- Industry 5.0 Alignment: Supports human-centric, adaptive, and sustainable industrial practices.
Development Plan:
RTXRoom will advance from TRL 6 (technology demonstrated in a relevant environment) to TRL 8 (system ready for deployment) and achieve MRL 5 (validated with early adopters). The solution will be piloted with the Architectural Aluminum Academy (AAA), demonstrating its ability to address real-world manufacturing challenges.
RTXRoom is positioned as a beacon application on the XR2Learn platform, supporting the EU’s leadership in XR technologies while driving the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry.
