My name is Gerasimos Arvanitis, and I am the CEO of AviSense as well as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Patras.
AviSense is a spin-off company born from a passion to transform conventional vehicles from passive means of transportation into trustworthy, intelligent driving partners.
In the XRive project, our team at AviSense will contribute by bringing our patented XR technologies to the table. We aim to empower drivers to “see behind obstacles,” giving them more time to react in critical situations. Our solutions also enable the projection of critical warnings, assistance cues, and XR content, helping to both test the capabilities of XR-based interfaces and educate users on how to interact with next-generation driving technologies.
I am excited to collaborate with the XR2Learn community and look forward to pushing the boundaries of XR together!

Thrilled to be here! I am Rachele Rizzioli, a PhD student at the University of Parma (UNIPR) and researcher at the Augment3D Lab. My work centers on design methodologies for complex products, especially in the aeronautical field. With a background in UX design and experience coding in several langauges, I enjoy creating user-friendly applications that are both practical and easy to use.
Right now, I’m part of X-DE-MAN, a project pushing the boundaries of XR to train Industry 5.0 operators in the de-manufacturing sector. Our goal: support a circular economy and showcase XR potential in the consumer electronics world.
